In 2004, Samar Jodha was introduced to various Buddhist tribal groups in the extreme eastern part of INdia: the cloistered Northeast. For three years Samar has worked on a series of portraits of members of one of the most endangered of the tribal groups, which today numbers a mere 1500, to raise awareness of their existence, to respect their culture and value their indigenous way of life.
